Join Temple Israel

Our mission at Temple Israel is to create an inclusive center for our sacred community, framed through the lens of Reform Judaism. We are authentic and caring, fearless and dynamic, home to many different types of individuals and families searching for connection and meaning in their lives.

Throughout the COVID-19 pandemic, we have re-visioned what it means to be a part of something greater than ourselves, shifting to creative virtual programming, innovative and intimate life cycle moments, and providing much needed communal support with expanded social services and medical care.  We will emerge stronger and closer than ever, ready to take on the challenges that the new world brings. We look forward to seeing you soon.

Why There's No Peace in the Middle East with Dr. Vic Lieberman
Sunday, Jul 10 11:00 am to 12:00 pm
This talk with the University of Michigan's Raoul Wallenberg Distinguished University Professor of History and Professor of Asian and Comparative History, Dr. Vic Lieberman, examines the origins and amazing chameleon-like persistence of the Mideast conflict. Why does the struggle -- now over 100 years old -- drag on interminably? Why have all efforts at negotiation failed? Is the two-state solution now dead? What alternative scenarios, if any, are possible? How should American Jews understand the conflict, and what role, if any, should they play? This event is sponsored by the Miriam and Dr. Isaac Barr Israel Education Fund.
