Through the act of praise, we can create a virtual universe: one that helps us explore our souls, affirm our passions, and rekindle our faith. This series of four one-hour workshops is intended to provide some practical tools to traverse, appreciate, and praise the blessing that is life. Taught by Cantor Michaels.

February 3 - Finding the Power to Praise in Dark Times
From Cohen’s “Hallelujah” to the Book of Job to Midrash, how can we learn to move past our brokenness and find the blessing that is life?

February 10 - Listening for the Pulse of Praise Through the Sacred Circle of the Drum
Through the power of chant and drumming in a sacred circle, our session’s task and goal is to allow the hidden sorrow to be released and our passions revealed.

February 17 - A Symphony of Praise – The Psalms of King David
As we move through a few of the psalms of the Jewish liturgy, our group will work to find special lines, images, and moments that deepen our encounter with the Holy One and further awaken our truest selves.

February 24 - Finding Sacredness in Secular Song
In this workshop we will explore and identify the mystery behind the great popular songs that inspire our own personal spiritual longings.

This program will also be streamed to Facebook Live in case you can't join the Zoom.
