Get ready for a spectacular evening of music, culture, and storytelling with "Bright Lights: Broadway’s Jewish Legacy”. This unique concert event will take place on May 18, 2025, at Temple Israel, bringing together beloved excerpts from iconic Broadway musicals that celebrate Jewish themes, characters, and stories.

From the sprawling sagas of "Ragtime" and "Les Misérables" to the recent Broadway triumphs of "Beautiful: The Carole King Story", and "Parade", this concert will feature performances by the stellar talents of the University of Michigan Musical Theatre Department together with our Cantors from an array of celebrated musicals that have captured the essence of the Jewish experience.
