Whether you danced to the Beatles or celebrated Shabbat under the stars, this reunion is your chance to reconnect with old friends and relive the moments that made our youth unforgettable. Bring your stories, your laughter, and your love for Temple Israel as we celebrate the memories that shaped us. Together, let's make this weekend one to remember! 

Dear Temple Israel Youth Group Alumni,

Let’s reminisce about retreats & conclaves, Purim carnival, Pinkies, Lafayette Coney Island, Biff's, Howard Johnsons, Shul-ins, installation and all night parties. So...here we are! The Temple Israel Youth Group Reunion Conclave is a go!

It is Friday, August 1st and Saturday, August 2nd, 2025. We have a block of rooms reserved at a discount. *You must reserve the room yourself and you are responsible for the cost (hotel information will be provided upon registration). The block starts Wednesday, July 30th and goes through Sunday, August 3rd, 2025.

This is what we have planned…FRIDAY, we will have registration from 3-5pm and a Shabbat dinner at Temple Israel (5725 Walnut Lake Road, West Bloomfield, MI 48323). After dinner, Shabbat services will be outside (weather permitting). After services, for those interested, there will be a tour of Temple.. After the tour, we will have our Oneg Shabbat, just like the old days with Vernors and Sherbert Punch along with mandatory sweets. Lenny Felder, former youth group treasurer, MSTY president and noted psychologist will give a short talk. Afterward, we will conclave with the mandatory friendship circle (arms crossed and grab your neighbor's hand, in case you forgot) and sing our oldies and goodies!

SATURDAY morning will start bright and early back at Temple for breakfast at 8:30am. Then step right up and board the bus for the "nostalgia mystery tour" including lunch. We will return to Temple at about 3pm and everyone can enjoy free time. 

Return to Temple at 5:30pm for Havdalah. Then cocktails, nostalgic dinner and entertainment, schmooze, and the final friendship circle.

This is the one, the only, Reunion Conclave! It may never happen again! Don’t let this opportunity for heartfelt conversations and reminders of wonderful times go by.

Dress code for the entire weekend is CAYA (come as you are, casual). No suits, sport coats or dresses required unless you want to.
