Temple Israel is pleased to present a special performance by David Syme, an internationally renowned concert pianist who lives in Ireland. Originally from Detroit, David has played in venues worldwide including Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Kennedy Center and Wigmore Hall and other major venues in nearly 20 European countries, Canada and Mexico.  A Juilliard alum, David has also been awarded an honorary degree by the Royal Irish Academy of Music for his contribution to the Irish musical landscape. He has been referred to as a national treasure and a cultural hero. Besides touring internationally, David is celebrated in Ireland for his in-home concerts, presented throughout the year. David is the son of our beloved Rabbi M. Robert & Sonia Syme z"l.
