7:00 PM - 8:00 PMTemple IsraelCelebrate the new moon and a new month
Rosh Chodesh marks the beginning of the Jewish month as determined by the appearance of the new moon. Our Rosh Chodesh group provides a wonderful opportunity for women to connect Jewishly in a historical yet contemporary manner. Join us for a celebration of the new moon and a new month while we explore Jewish rituals, current and relevant community and global topics while being spiritually inspired and fostering new friendships.
SEPTEMBER: Due to the High Holy Days, there will not be a September Rosh Chodesh.
OCTOBER: For October’s meeting, we're inviting our Rosh Chodesh members to attend the “Fallen Petals” program, hosted by Temple Israel’s Anti-Racism Task Force Committee. Bryan Jones, Engagement Manager at Chamber Music Detroit, shares stories of teens sentenced to life without parole through music, spoken word, and video. The performance reveals how one wrong turn can change a life forever.
Registration is coming.
