Join us for a powerful night that honors the strength of the human spirit.
Hear firsthand from Ofir Engel, a 19-year-old who was kidnapped by Hamas on October 7th from Kibbutz Be’eri and has emerged as a symbol of survival and resilience.
This unforgettable evening will also feature:
Shalva through the Lens of War – a moving photo exhibit capturing the war through the eyes of Israel’s top photojournalists and the ongoing heroic efforts of Shalva, a Jerusalem-based organization that supports individuals with disabilities—especially during times of crisis.
5:45 PM – Pre-Glow Reception & Exhibit Opening

Ofir Engel: A Story of Survival. Clergy-Led Panel Discussion – exploring stories of resilience, healing, and hope.
Join us following the program for an immersive journey through images of tragedy, strength, and humanity as we present the exhibition of Shalva through the Lens of War.
Admission to the main event and exhibit is free – registration is required.
While this event is free and open to the community, we invite you to support Shalva and help sustain future Israel education programs in Metro Detroit with a suggested donation of $18 per attendee or any amount that is meaningful to you.
