ECC Kindergarten Application 2022-2023

Temple Israel’s kindergarten program offers small group instruction which allows for child-centered individualized teaching in a safe and nurturing setting. Our play-based philosophy affords many opportunities to excite children when learning. The children will learn through experiences, develop strong social skills, and express their individual creativity.

Built into our kindergarten day is a balanced and age appropriate curriculum that is thoughtful; encompassing best practices, and is intentional. Our literacy program strongly focuses on phonemic awareness, sight word vocabulary, and comprehension. Writer’s Workshop introduces the students to beginning writing skills, the structure of print, and the connections between print and the spoken word. Math is taught in so many ways throughout each day as the curriculum focuses on hands-on activities to teach number concepts and skills. Science, the arts, Judaic learning, Hebrew language, and so much more complete the well rounded kindergarten year.

With ratios as small as we allow, your child is sure to develop a solid foundation of skills and knowledge moving forward, while encouraging a lifelong love of learning.

Enrollment Terms

The policy of Temple Israel is to accept applications only when all unpaid balances from prior Preschool and Kindergarten program have been paid, unless satisfactory arrangements have been made.

• Payment must be made according to the tuition payment schedule.
• Enrollment will be canceled if tuition obligations are not met.
• All students must adhere to Temple Israel's vaccination policy. Enrollment will be canceled if the vaccination policy is not met.
• There are no tuition adjustments or refunds because of absence, inclement weather, government mandated school closures, ordinary illness or family vacations.
• If public health concerns require closing the school building, there will be no refund extended for the trimester in progress.
• Notwithstanding anything to the contrary contained in this Agreement, Temple Israel may dismiss or decline to re-enroll a child if Temple Israel determines, in its sole discretion, the child or parent(s)/guardian(s) engaged in conduct or behavior which does not serve the best interest of Temple Israel or its Early Childhood Center.
• Because of our class structure, we are unable to provide for make-up days.
• Your financial commitment is based on full year enrollment.
• While your child’s safety is a priority for Temple Israel, by signing this Agreement, you understand and voluntarily assume all risks related to your child’s exposure to communicable diseases, such as COVID-19, and you agree on behalf of your child not to hold Temple Israel and any of its employees or affiliates liable for illness or injury

Kindergarten Tuition Payment Schedule

• A non-refundable registration fee of $100 must accompany this application.
• A non-refundable payment of $1,000 is due by March 1, 2022, which will be credited toward your total balance.
• Every student enrolled in Kindergarten by February 12, 2022 will receive a $1000 Scholarship
• All children continuously enrolled in our 3-year and 4-year-old programs will receive an additional $1,000 credit toward Kindergarten tuition.
• Please make checks payable to Temple Israel or charge via ACH, Visa, Discover, Mastercard or American Express. Credit card payments are charged a 2% credit card processing fee.
• Payment requires a credit card on file for three equal payments due April 1, December 1 & March 1.
• 20% discount on tuition for a second sibling enrolled in the same age level program.
