The Best Chocolate Chip Cookies

3 sticks Unsalted butter    
1 each Egg                 
2 each Egg yolk        
3.25 cups All purpose flour              
1.5 teaspoon Kosher salt              
1.5 teaspoon Baking soda     
1/2 cup Sugar             
2 cups Brown sugar     
3 Tbsp Milk         
2.5 tsp Vanilla extract     
3 cups Semisweet chocolate chips     
1.5 cup Chopped, toasted pecans
1.5 cups Miniature Reese’s cups


  1. Pre-heat your oven to 375 F degrees while you start to prep your cookies.
  2. Add your butter and both sugars to a mixer, set on medium high speed and “cream”. This will take about 8 minutes. Your butter sugar mixture should be nice and fluffy white.
  3. Sift together the flour, salt, and baking soda and set aside.
  4. Once the creaming is finished, slowly add your eggs first to the mixture and let them incorporate it. Slowly add the milk and vanilla until completely mixed in. Slowly incorporate the flour mixture until thoroughly combined. Stir in the chocolate chips nuts and Reese’s.
  5. Now your cookie batter is ready to go! If you like to make your cookies into more of a scone texture, then scoop your cookies and leave them in the same shape on your baking sheet, don’t press them down. Otherwise, chill your dough and push the cookies down before you bake them.
  6. Bake the cookies for approximately 12 minutes. I like to pull them out before they start to brown so they’re nice and soft and chewy.
