Chanukah

/uploadedImages/temple-israelorg/Worship/Special_Services/chanukah.jpgWhile Chanukah is primarily celebrated in the home, there are a number of celebrations also held at Temple Israel. Each year, our Temple Affiliates host a festive Chanukah Party to bring everyone together to light the menorah and rejoice in the holiday. It includes lunch and entertainment.  Several weeks before Chanukah, our clergy and staff lead a Chanukah Workshop to help families learn the holiday’s traditions and learn how to create our own Jewish memories at home.

Purim Shrekked

Purim is a festive time at Temple Israel. The Book of Esther is read erev Purim in a service attended by young and old alike. If you haven't attended, you've never seen a Megillah reading like the one that our clergy puts together each year.  The Sunday immediately prior to the holiday, the Youth Federation of Temple Israel (YFTI) hosts its annual Purim Carnival, an event for the entire family.  For more information, click to view the Purim Celebration flyer.

During the month prior to the Passover holiday, Temple’s clergy and staff host a Passover Workshop, designed to help our families create wonderful home holiday experiences.
