Sisterhood

The Sisterhood, a Temple Israel Affiliate, is a group of women who offer social, cultural, educational and volunteer service opportunities. Included among its projects, the Sisterhood hosts Annual Events: Donor Luncheon, Fashion Show and Boutiques, Mah Jongg Tournament, Spring Boutiques, and House Tour attended by hundreds of people throughout the Detroit community. Along with sending Chanukah and Passover gift packages to all of our college students; Sisterhood helps during the Temple week of Housing the Homeless and offers a variety of exciting social programs.

The Sisterhood also runs Temple Israel's Gift Shop. The Gift Shop sells beautiful pieces of Judaica artwork and ritual objects, as well as books, jewelry and cards.

Sisterhood Cookbook
We are very excited to announce that the fifth edition of Temple Israel Sisterhood's cookbook, The Fruit of Her Hands, is available for purchase. This beautiful new cookbook is a collection of over 600 recipes. We have included favorites from previous editions along with heart healthy recipes. The cookbook, priced at $25, is sure to be a wonderful gift for all those who enjoy cooking.
